Zach Jiang is an intellectual writer, origami artist and professional sport and event photographer.
He has spent over 8 years travelling around the globe doing aerial photography, wildlife photography, landscape photography, macro photography and other types of photography-related works.
Jiang worked as a sport photographer for the Varsity Blue sport team at University of Toronto when he was an undergraduate student. He was trained at an international wedding photography company “L'atelier lumiere”.
As an intellectual writer, Jiang was interested in ancient Chinese and Indian philosophy. He has taught a free open course on Confucianism at University of Toronto (2017-2018). He translated many ancient Indian texts from Sanskrit into Chinese. Most of his translations are centered on the Upanishads and Tantric tradition of Kashmir Shaivism.
Jiang has also spent 10 years doing research on art, history and origami. He has written an encyclopedia on origami art and origami design (over 1000 pages) and he is now currently working on the third volume of this work. Jiang worked temporarily as an art teacher in China.
